NATO’s engagement in Afghanistan may be the most complex mission the Alliance has undertaken to date – and it is far from over. But with reinforcements arriving, Afghan national security forces gaining strength, and increased focus on reconstruction, development and good governance, progress is being made. In this film, we listen to Afghan voices – from private soldiers to generals, from refugees to ministers, from villagers to members of parliament, from workers to business-owners – and look behind the scenes at ISAF’s activities. It examines the complexities that NATO faces in Afghanistan and shows how the country, in partnership with the international community, is moving towards lasting security.

This film won an Intermedia-globe Silver Award in the category Public Relations: Society. The Intermedia-globe awards are awarded during the WorldMediaFestival in Germany. This is an annual global competition for modern media, that honours and celebrates excellent solutions in Corporate Film, Television, Web and Print productions on an international scale.
